Week 43

June 8, 2014

This week has been full of trade offs, district service projects on a
farm (not my fav), getting ticked off at the elders for poaching in
our area, spending hours switching the iPad program, and lots and lots
and lots of random little miracles.
So, Facebook. Our mission has been so blessed to have iPads and
Facebook as part of our proselyting efforts. We've been praying to
know how we could best use it and we are so excited with what has come
as our answer. When King Benjamin held his "general conference," he
was only one guy and couldn't reach out to everyone that was trying to
listen. This is where y'all come in. He had his messengers run out and
spread the word. There's only a few thousand missionaries that are
trying to reach billions. So, we are heading a series of Facebook
events promoting the Book of Mormon. We've gotten the 27 other
Facebook missions to join us and we need everyone's help to make it
huge and spread it to as many people as we can! There are those that
are waiting for the joy that comes from this gospel and the Book of
Mormon. And we need as many as we can to help! We need miracles!
We just ran into a lady at the grocery store whose sister sent her a
Book of Mormon and she was practically screaming when she saw our name
tags. She's been looking for missionaries and went on and on about how
the Book of Mormon has changed her. It changes and blesses lives! I
know that there is a power in it. I know that it is true and we can
"get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other
book." With Facebook, we have the capability to reach those billions
of people and introduce them to the joy that comes from the Book of
Mormon.
There will be four events over four consecutive weeks. Join the group
"Called to Serve" and it explains the four different events and how
you can help out. The first event is tomorrow and we'll post a picture
of us mimicking the example photo and use the hashtag
"#discoverthebook" and share your experience how you discovered the
Book of Mormon.
